Excellent, so I’ve just uploaded my Stonefest website… I was just looking at it though, and it doesn’t work in firefox„, it does work in safari though.

So I’m still waiting to get my website but it should be here tomorrow, in the mean time I’m just updating my blog theme. So if all goes well by this time tomorrow night I should be completely done!!
So everything was going pretty awesome, and then I went to put the final touches on my website the other day and I’ve discovered that the copy I have of my website on my usb is an old one. I had been doing my website on a mate’s computer and then forgot to update it on my usb. To make things worse my mate went home for a few weeks to study and took his computer with him. This means that I have been sitting around trying to do as much as I can with out having my website to work with; that means I’ve been looking for good maps and good youtube videos.
So I’m well into my website now, and it’s going ok. It took me hours to get my buttons right and so long to try and position my images. I just kept working at the buttons and eventually, through trial and error, I got it to work. As for the images I gave up on that because every time I positioned them ‘absolute’, they would turn out weird in the preview browser. So instead for my images, I just included them with the inline html.
So far though, I’m reasonably happy.
Ok, so the best thing ever is the week seven lecture. It absolutely explains everything that you need to know to get started on your website along with the text book, it’s a pretty good combo. Definitely glad that I bought the text book in O week because it would have been the biggest struggle without it.
So this is blog number four, as you may or may not have noticed i’m also learning Spanish this semester, not that the has anything to do with Web Design, it’s just something else i’m doing.
So I’m big time struggling with just trying to get off the ground with my website, but I’m slowly getting there. It’s also hard because I don’t have photoshop which is definitely my own fault, but it makes trying to make my website that much more interesting.
I’m actually really looking forward to the end of this subject, but only because hopefully it will mean that I will be able to make a website of my own, that would be pretty cool.
So I’ve been slack on the blog updates and really I’ve just been writing stuff down as I go, so now I’m attempting to back date all my blog entries but I have no idea how that will work.
So really the first problem I encounted was that because I lived on campus and because all the lectures weren’t posted on the canberra uni website, this meant that I had to spend internet credit to watch the lectures. Sadly this cost me a mint and I could only do it when I had money on my debit card.
